Don't Forget The Mentors In Your Life
Posted on Mar 23, 2021
John Ramsdell was one of my first mentors in football. He truly taught me how to play the Wide Receiver position in football. I thought I understood the position when I got to the University of Oregon. Yeah, right! He started me on a journey to master the skills of the position, which ultimately led to the NFL.
John went on to coach in the NFL for 20 years and is now retired. I was able to see John this past summer to personally thank him for his coaching and belief in me.
I've always had mentors in every phase of my life. Having one is the ultimate shortcut to anything you want in life.
- Do you have a mentor?
- Have you been able to thank them for the role they've played during your journey?
Don't ever think your too good, too smart, or too successful to have one. Remember this; the best athletes in the world have coaches and mentors. Don't ever be afraid to ask for help.
Whatever you learn from them, be sure to pay it forward! "Each one Help one, Each one Teach one."
